Olek offers expert restoration services for bronze, steel, iron, and custom metal windows and doors in commercial and historic buildings across the U.S. Whether you’re preserving a century-old courthouse entrance or revitalizing bronze-framed windows in a State Capitol, Museum, or boutique hotel, our team restores architectural metalwork with precision, historical integrity, and unmatched craftsmanship. All work is done in-house, using traditional and modern methods to return original strength and appearance.
We serve property managers, architects, and institutions responsible for some of the country’s most iconic buildings. Our commercial restoration clients include:
We refinish and repair bronze entries, window frames, hardware, and architectural features. Original patinas and details are preserved or recreated to match surrounding finishes. Our ability to replicate historic patinas in outdoor environments is exceptional. Recreation of hand-assembled historic door attachments, often using hundreds of hand-drilled and tapped screws to invisibly attach bronze cladding to a single door leaf, is routine for Olek, and flawlessly accomplished. These abilities keep your doors original, and with utmost mechanical integrity. The engineering of the past is essential in accurate restoration that will withstand the demands of the future. We cut knives to machine original profiles on bronze trims, that can’t be economically extruded in small quantities.
Our team restores rusted or damaged iron and steel doors using TIG or MIG or Stick welding, sandblasting, and industrial coatings, and blacksmith forging techniques. We maintain structural integrity and historical profiles while guarding against future corrosion.
We restore operable and fixed windows crafted from steel, bronze, or iron — repairing hinges, glazing, weather stripping, and finishes while maintaining original profiles. We utilize Vacuum Insulated Glass (VIG) for the highest R-Values in original thin ¼” thick glass applications, to comply with highest energy conserving LEEDS or other municipal requirements.
From handles to decorative panels, we restore or replicate custom hardware and forged features using casting, CNC machining, brake forming, and manual machining methods on vertical and horizontal milling machines.
At Olek, Inc., we believe in putting you, our customer, at the forefront of everything we do.
Trusted by institutions, government agencies, and private collectors for our deep technical knowledge and attention to detail.
